Since the age of 3, all Venny Carranza ever did was dance!!! From a very early age, he started his career training as a Flamenco Folk dancer. By the age of 15, he auditioned and was in his first Dance Company, and by age 17 was working commercially, performing at Theme Parks, on Cruise Ships, and industrial/conventions. He then went on to the University Of North Texas where he studied Classical Voice/Performance. He then continued on to New York City, where he went pursue his life long dream of performing on Broadway, and went on to tour Europe, North America, Canada, and Asia. After a few years doing a Broadway show in Las Vegas, he then moved to Los Angeles, and thus has appeared in Television & Motion Pictures. While in LA, he studied acting with Clay Banks and Jeffrey Marcus. Some of Venny’s mentors include: Huemantzin Lopez, Jose Greco, Terry Beeman, Savion Glover, Carlos Marques, Randy Skinner, Scott Conway, Paula Abdul, Ann Reinking, & Margurite Derricks just to name a few. Some of the people he has been fortunate enough to have worked with in his career include: Lea Thompson, Al Pacino, Christian Slater, Merle Dandridge, Larry Hagman, Selena, Cathy Rigby, Michael York, Lou Diamond Phillips, Jennifer Hudson, Queen, Constantine Maroulis, Baayork Lee, Bob Avian, Maria Torres, Christopher Ashley, Glenn Casale, Dan Mojica, Marcia Gilgrom-Dodge, Charles Randolph-Wright, Doriana Sanchez, Patti Colombo, Betty Garrett, Marc Kudish, Judy Kaye, Rachel York, Vicki Lewis, Lisa Seegman-Miller, Jesse Tyler-Ferguson, Eric Idle, Beth Malone, Lesli Margherita and others. In 2014, He was nominated and won an LA Stage Scene award for Best Featured actor in Musical. With no plans of leaving the theatre, I am very honored & thrilled to have this opportunity & look forward to opening night to share this story, cause this is what we call the wonderful world of ENTERTAINMENT!
