Instructors
Danielle Dean is a dancer and performer of over twenty years in Hip Hop, Ballet, Lyrical and Jazz. During her high school years at Samuel Clemens High School, she was on the dance team and worked earned an Officer position in 2006. After graduating from high school, Danielle began her studies at Palo Alto College as a Dance Major. During her time at Palo Alto College, she found her passion for Modern dance and Ballet Folklorico.
She has been a choreographer for over 15 years after receiving training from national conventions, workshops and coursework. She was a member of the modern dance company, Erison Dancers, under the direction of Erica Wilson-Perkins.
Danielle has been a dance family member and instructor at Image Dance Company and Academy since 2014. Danielle has been a member of La Imagen de San Antonio and Alma Gitana and has also trained in ballroom, social dance, Spanish classical and folk Dance, and Flamenco.
Danielle is a mother of two children and enjoys sharing dance performance moments with them. Currently, her daughter enjoys learning numerous dance styles.
Danielle has been inspiring her children and the students of Image Dance near a decade and has been a factor in the growth and development of many of the dance performers. She is very excited to be sharing her knowledge and passion for dance with her students.

Robin Hernandez

Robin Hernandez has been dancing for 43 years. She began with tap & ballet and continued with tap, jazz, acro, lyrical, hip-hop and pointe. She’s enjoyed many master classes and conventions.
In 2005, she enrolled her, then 3-year-old daughter, with lessons from Image Dance Company and Academy. She began learning Ballet Folklorico and Flamenco at that time as well. She became a company member of La Imagen de San Antonio and Alma Gitana for many years a which time she began teaching students as young as two years old.
A wife and mother of two, Robin, instructor of Ballet Folklorico 2, has been a Registered Nurse for the past 19 years. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio (now UT Health San Antonio) in 2003. After spending 16 years in behavioral health, she has been a school nurse for 4 years. In addition to dancing, she also plays clarinet for two community bands, loves arts & crafts and studied graphic design.
Robin has been a valued member of the Image Dance family for over a decade and is a force of fun and friendship within her classes and studio clients.
Allison was born in raised in San Antonio, Texas. Her love for dance began at the age of three when her parents enrolled her at Image Dance Company. She credits her family, Michelle Angulo and her other wonderful instructors as those who developed her love for dance. She went on to attend Providence Catholic School where she was an active member of various sports teams, choir, and the Progressions Dance Troupe.
Upon graduating high school, she attended St. Mary’s University where she majored in Business Management. She was involved with various organizations such as the Greehey School of Business Mentor Program, Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, and the Code Blue Dance Team. In addition to this, she worked as an employee of City of SA Parks and Rec where she worked as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and water aerobics/ AquaZumba coach. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s in 2020, she began her Master’s program at UTSA and became a full-time employee at Frost Bank. In 2022, she graduated with her Master’s of Business Administration.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with her friends and family, and dancing. She looks forward to having the opportunity to step into this new role as a dance instructor. You will see Allison teaching Kid Funk classes and subbing for some jazz classes and Hip-Hop classes.

Anisah Montilla

Anisah Montilla is our newest dance family and student inspiration by joining the team this past April.
Anisah began her dance career by training at a ballet academy, master classes with top industry choreographers, dance camps, and local dance studios. She served as captain for two out of four years on her high school dance team and did two years of collegiate dance team, serving as captain for one.
Anisah began teaching dance at the age of 15 and then underwent schooling and training, at local gym and the Texas location of the Olympic training site to be certified through USA Gymnastics to become a professional Junior Olympic coach for acrobatic gymnastics. At 16 she began teaching as an assistant coach for artistic and acrobatic gymnastics teams, head coach for dance, team choreographer, and recreational dance and gymnastics coach. At 17 she went back to teach dance/ strength and conditioning at the Texas location of the Olympic training site and trained with USA Gymnastics to receive certification to become a professional Junior Olympic judge. Her students have gone to win top positions during dance and gymnastics competitions, winning national and world championships, and even preforming on Kellogg’s Tour of Gymnastics Champions along side the final four. She has experience teaching all ages beginning at 18 months to adults.
Anisah is a graduate of St.Mary’s University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology. She has a passion for teaching and children and is on her way to a career in pediatrics.Anisah is excited to be back preforming and continue the dance journey as not only a student but a teacher as well.
